This website has no advertising and no tracking of its own. The sections below are the only other companies that can ever load, and each says when.

What we store ourselves

Two small notes in your browser (local storage) that remember your answers in the cookie window, one for analytics and one for maps, so we do not ask on every page. Use "Cookie settings" in the footer to change them.

Analytics (Cloudflare)

When Cloudflare Web Analytics is turned on for this site, a small counting script loads with every page. It is the free, cookieless tier: it does not set a cookie and cannot follow you to other websites.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which guides are read, so we can make them better. It runs through Cloudflare Zaraz and only after you accept "Analytics" in the cookie window. Until you choose, and if you decline, nothing is sent to Google. Your IP address is hidden from Google. If you accept, Google Analytics can store an identifier in your browser to recognise repeat visits. Our cookie window passes your answer to Zaraz, which keeps it in a cookie namedzaraz-consent. Use "Cookie settings" in the footer to change your answer at any time.

Spam check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The waitlist, contact and guide-signup forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It does not load with the page — only once you put your cursor in a field or press the send button — and from that moment it can set its own cookie.

Maps of places to stay (Stay22)

The maps come from Stay22. When a map loads, Stay22 receives your IP address and can store its own cookies in your browser. A map loads in one of two cases: you pressed the button on that map, or you accepted maps in the cookie window, in which case maps load as you scroll to them. If you decline, only the button loads a map. Bookings made through a map can earn us a commission; see theaffiliate disclosure.

You can change your answer at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Changing it from yes to no stops any further map from loading by itself, immediately and without a reload. It does not unload a map already on the page you are reading, and it cannot undo a connection Stay22 has already received: reload or leave the page to stop that map, and clear cookies in your browser to remove what Stay22 stored.

Videos and the booking calendar

A video from YouTube or Instagram, or a calendar from Cal.com loads only when you press its button, and each can store its own cookies from that moment. The cookie window does not cover these.
