Siquijor has no airport, so every visitor arrives the same way: a short ferry hop from Dumaguete on the neighbouring island of Negros. The choice is between a quick fastcraft and a slower, cheaper RORO boat.

Times are from the flight and ferry sections below.
Getting to Dumaguete first
Before the ferry, you need to reach Dumaguete itself. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines both fly direct from Manila to Dumaguete-Sibulan Airport (DGT), about 1 hour 25 minutes, with daily departures on each carrier, plus shorter direct flights from Cebu. From the airport, it’s a short tricycle or taxi ride into town to reach the ferry terminals. Sourced against current route and schedule listings, checked 12 October 2026, confirm the actual flight schedule when you book since frequency shifts by season.
The fastcraft: OceanJet or Montenegro, about 1 hour
Both OceanJet and Montenegro Shipping Lines run fastcraft between Dumaguete and Siquijor, with several sailings spread through the day.

| Montenegro fastcraft | ≈ ₱455 | ≈ 1 hour | 2 sailings a day, roughly 9am and 3:30pm |

The slow ferry: Montenegro RORO, about 2 hours
Montenegro also runs a roll-on roll-off boat on the same route, slower but cheaper, and it carries vehicles as well as foot passengers.

| Montenegro RORO | ≈ ₱234 | ≈ 2 hours | Several sailings a day, roughly 5am-6pm |

Which to pick
The fastcraft is the quicker choice: the fare is roughly double the RORO boat’s, but it saves about an hour. The RORO boat is worth it mainly if you are bringing a vehicle across or the fastcraft times do not fit your schedule.
Where you end up, and getting around once there
Siquijor town’s port is the main arrival point. Once on the island, a scooter rental, commonly ₱250-400 a day, is how most visitors get around the ring road to the beaches and falls, see things to do in Siquijor. I wrote the full area breakdown in where to stay in Siquijor.
Before you book
Book a day ahead outside peak season, and further ahead around Christmas, New Year and Holy Week when sailings can sell out. A session with me is the fastest way to ask how this crossing fits into a wider Visayas trip, see also a 3-day Siquijor itinerary.
