Intramuros, Manila’s walled Spanish-era old city, is free to walk into, day or night. What costs money is what’s inside it: Fort Santiago is 75 pesos (50 discounted), Casa Manila and Baluarte de San Diego are 75 each, Museo de Intramuros is 150, and the San Agustin Museum is 200. Free guided tours run on weekends.

Visiting the four sites run by the Intramuros Administration (Fort Santiago, Baluarte de San Diego, Casa Manila, Museo de Intramuros) comes to ₱375 regular or ₱270 discounted. Add the San Agustin Museum and it’s ₱575 regular or ₱430 discounted, before any tour or kalesa cost. Casa Manila, Museo de Intramuros and Centro de Turismo all close on Mondays, so a Monday visit leaves you with Fort Santiago, Baluarte de San Diego and the churches.

Getting to Intramuros
There’s no direct rail line into the walled city. LRT-1’s Central Terminal station is the closest stop, a walk across Taft Avenue from the walls, the better rail option if you’re coming from that line. From Makati or BGC, a Grab typically runs 30-50 minutes depending on traffic, with no train alternative for either area. Flying in? See NAIA airport to Manila for taxi, Grab and shuttle costs. Fitting this into a Manila stay
Intramuros works as a single day trip from most parts of the city.
