Snowworld in Dapitan: the snow park I did not expect

Snowworld is an indoor snow park inside the Fantasyland complex in Dapitan City, in Zamboanga del Norte. I went there on day 7 of my trip through the province and posted it on 1 October 2026, and I did not expect to find snow in the Philippines at all.

Is it safe to visit?

The Australian government’s Smartraveller advice, updated 24 September 2026, says not to travel to the Zamboanga Peninsula, and Dapitan is on that peninsula. Read the current advice before you book, and read the full list of dates and areas on the Mindanao guide.

How do you get to Snowworld?

Glorious Fantasyland is on Sunset Boulevard in Dawo, inside Dakak, per Wikivoyage. From downtown Dapitan, take a tricycle; Wikivoyage lists 8 pesos for rides within downtown.

Did I really find snow in the Philippines?

The snow is indoors, at Snowworld in Glorious Fantasyland, Dapitan, and my day 7 video shows it with a massive piece of ice.

I thought that there was no snow in the Philippines until I found this place.

What did I do there?

What does Snowworld cost, and when is it open?

Glorious Fantasyland, which runs the park, lists 750 pesos for adults and 500 pesos for children up to 4 feet tall, for the sightseeing area and Snow World, on its ticket page (checked 18 October 2026). Rides cost 100 pesos each. The park is open Tuesday to Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Booking.com’s listed prices for one night, two adults, one room, on Tuesday 17 November 2026, checked on 18 October 2026. Prices change, so check before you book.
