Things to Do in Bohol: Cave, Church, Zipline

Once the Chocolate Hills countryside loop and Panglao’s island hopping are booked, four more stops round out a Bohol trip: a swim inside a limestone cave, a zipline and canyon swing further inland, a 17th-century church and its museum, and a lunch stop that is also a working farm.
Hinagdanan Cave: swim in a cavern
A natural limestone cave in Dauis, on Panglao, with a pool of cool, clear water lit by two openings in the roof. Most visitors treat it as a short stop rather than a half-day activity, in and out inside half an hour unless you linger for the swim.

| Item | Typical cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Entrance | ₱50 | Non-swimming visit |
| Swimming | +₱75 | On top of the entrance fee |

The cave sits a short ride from both Alona Beach and Tagbilaran, close enough to combine with Baclayon Church below without losing much of the day.
Danao Adventure Park: zipline and canyon swing
Bohol’s adventure park sits inland, in the north of the island, built around a canyon and a river gorge. The draw is a set of paid rides rather than a single ticket: a zipline over the gorge, a giant rope swing, a canyon-swing-style plunge, and a slower sky ride for anyone who wants the view without the drop.

| Item | Typical cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Park entrance | ≈ ₱40 | Separate from each ride |
| Zipline | ≈ ₱350 | Over the river gorge |
| Giant Swing, solo | ≈ ₱500 | |
| Giant Swing, tandem | ≈ ₱800 | For two riders together |
| The Plunge (canyon swing) | ≈ ₱700 | The park’s signature drop |
| Sky Ride | ≈ ₱250 | Roughly four riders per ride |

Because Danao sits further inland than the other three stops on this page, most visitors treat it as its own half-day out of Tagbilaran rather than a stop added onto the Hinagdanan-Baclayon morning.
Baclayon Church and its museum
One of the oldest stone churches in the Philippines, built by the Jesuits in the 17th century, with a working parish next door to the museum. The church is a short stop for anyone interested in the building itself, the museum is the part that takes longer, holding vestments, old documents and religious relics from the parish’s history.

| Item | Typical cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Church | Free | Active place of worship |
| Museum | ≈ ₱50 | Covers the vestments and relics collection |

Baclayon sits on the coast road between Tagbilaran and Alona Beach, close enough to Hinagdanan Cave to do both in a morning.
Bohol Bee Farm: the lunch stop
A working organic farm and restaurant in Dauis, built around its own bakery and farm-to-table menu rather than a honey-tasting tour despite the name. It functions as a sit-down lunch stop with a shop attached rather than a paid attraction, there is no entrance fee, you pay for what you order.

Most visitors fold this in on the way between Panglao and the airport, or after Hinagdanan Cave and Baclayon Church on the same stretch of coast road.
Putting a day together
Hinagdanan Cave, Baclayon Church and a Bohol Bee Farm lunch sit close enough along the same coast road to cover in one morning-into-afternoon loop by tricycle or habal-habal. Danao Adventure Park is a separate half-day further inland, best paired with an early start if you also want time to rest before an evening flight or ferry.
Where this fits in a Bohol trip
See a 3-day Bohol itinerary for how these four stops fit around the Chocolate Hills countryside loop and Panglao’s island hopping, and Bohol: best time to visit and what a trip costs for the wider budget. For the ferry over from Cebu, see how to get to Bohol from Cebu.
Where to base yourself
Alona Beach on Panglao puts you closest to Hinagdanan Cave and the island-hopping boats, Tagbilaran is more convenient if Danao Adventure Park or an early ferry is next. I wrote the full comparison in where to stay in Bohol.
Before you go
None of these four stops need booking ahead, they are walk-up attractions and a restaurant with posted hours. A session with me is the fastest way to ask how they fit around the rest of a Bohol trip.
Questions people ask
What is there to do in Bohol besides the Chocolate Hills and island hopping?
Four stops cover most of what is left once the countryside loop and Panglao's island hopping are done: Hinagdanan Cave for a swim inside a limestone cavern, Danao Adventure Park for a zipline and canyon swing, Baclayon Church and its museum, and Bohol Bee Farm for lunch on the way back to the airport.
How much does it cost to visit Hinagdanan Cave?
₱50 entrance, plus another ₱75 if you want to swim in the cave's pool.
How much do the rides cost at Danao Adventure Park?
Around ₱40 just to enter the park, then pay per activity: the zipline is about ₱350, the giant swing ₱500 solo or ₱800 for two, the canyon-swing style plunge around ₱700, and the sky ride about ₱250. Package deals that bundle several rides are sold at the park, ask at the counter for the current combo pricing.
Is Baclayon Church free to visit?
The church itself is free. The museum next door, which holds the parish's old vestments and relics, charges a small entrance fee of around ₱50.
Do I need to book Bohol Bee Farm ahead?
No, it is a walk-in restaurant and farm shop on the way between Panglao and Tagbilaran, there is no advance booking for the restaurant itself.
Can I do Hinagdanan Cave, Danao and Baclayon in one day?
Hinagdanan Cave and Baclayon Church sit close together between Panglao and Tagbilaran and pair easily in a morning. Danao Adventure Park is further inland, closer to the north of the island, and is usually its own half-day rather than a stop you add to the other two.
