When to go to Camiguin, and what the ferry, getting around, food and the sights cost once you are there. In one of my clips I say “Camiguin is not crowded at all”, and the calendar below shows which weeks that changes.
The figures below come from historical rainfall data, PAGASA, operator listings and current visitor guides, last checked 15 October 2026. Prices are in pesos throughout.
The drier months and the wetter ones
Intermittent rain is common on Camiguin for most of the year, except from February to May. March and April see the least rain and the fewest rain days.

Historical averages from Bohol Nature Tours, Best Time to Visit Camiguin, last checked 15 October 2026. These are past averages, not a forecast for your dates.
The same source calls May to October the low season, when the island is quieter, and names Christmas, Chinese New Year and Holy Week as the busy holiday periods.
Typhoon season
PAGASA, the Philippine weather service, counts an average of 20 tropical cyclones a year in the Philippine area, with about 8 or 9 of them crossing the country. The peak of the typhoon season is July through October, when nearly 70% of typhoons develop. Check the PAGASA forecast in the days before a ferry crossing.

The Lanzones Festival week
The one week that fills the island is the Lanzones Festival in Mambajao, held every year in the third week of October around the lanzones harvest: street dancing, a parade, a trade fair and nightly entertainment. The 47th edition runs 18-25 October 2026, with pre-festival events from 15 October. Book well ahead for that week, or pick another one if you want the island quiet. Source: Mindanao Times.

Put together, a scooter day with fuel and three meals comes to roughly ₱1,200–2,400 for one person on one scooter, before your room. A day on the Catarman loop adds a few hundred pesos in entrance fees; a White Island morning adds your share of the ₱550 boat and the environmental fee.
A room for the night
Nightly rates swing with the season and the area. The maps on where to stay in Camiguin show live prices for your dates in Mambajao, Mahinog and Catarman.
Cash, not cards
Mambajao has a Landbank branch and ATM on Placido Reyes Street, a second Landbank ATM at the LGU building, and PNB and EastWest Rural Bank branches. Travellers on Tripadvisor’s Camiguin forum warn not to rely on cards everywhere: bring cash for smaller shops and habal-habal rides, and for the entrance booths and boats, which are paid on the spot. Withdraw in Mambajao before a day out to Catarman or Mahinog. Sources are on where to stay in Camiguin.
