How long to stay in Coron: three days is the practical minimum, and four is better if you want a second island-hopping route as well as a dive day. Three days is enough to settle into town, get Tour A’s signature stops in on one full day, and spend the last day either diving the WWII shipwrecks or on a second group tour, depending on whether you’re certified.

Day 1: arrive and settle in

Fly into Francisco B. Reyes Airport on Busuanga, then a 45-minute to 1-hour van transfer into Coron town, full breakdown in how to get to Coron from Manila. Arriving by early afternoon leaves time to walk the town, eat, and book Day 2’s Tour A through your accommodation or a tour desk.

Day 2: Tour A, Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon

The signature day. A shared group boat covering Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, CYC Beach and usually a shallow wreck stop, full pricing and inclusions in Coron island hopping: Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon and shipwreck diving. Boats leave the town pier in the morning and the day usually runs with a cooked lunch on one of the stops.

Day 3: shipwreck diving, or a second tour

If you’re a certified diver, this is the day for Coron’s WWII wrecks, a separate dive-shop trip from Tour A, same page as above for pricing and what’s included. If you’re not certified, ask your tour desk about Tour B (Barracuda Lake and Skeleton Wreck) or Tour C (Malcapuya and Bulog Dos further out), see the tour table above. For what Barracuda Lake involves for divers, see Coron island hopping and shipwreck diving.

Either way, save the evening for Mount Tapyas or Maquinit Hot Springs, both sit in town and need no boat booking, a free sunset climb or a paid soak after a day in the water.

Questions people ask

How long should I stay in Coron?

Three days is the practical minimum: an arrival day plus two full days on the water, Tour A and either a dive day or Tour B. Add a fourth day for Tour C to Malcapuya and Bulog Dos, and more days if you want several wreck dives.

What is the difference between Coron Tour A, Tour B and Tour C?

Tour A is the Coron Island loop with Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon. Tour B usually covers Barracuda Lake and Skeleton Wreck. Tour C goes further out to beach islands such as Malcapuya and Bulog Dos. Stops vary between operators, so confirm the list with your tour desk.

Is 3 days enough for Coron?

Yes, for the main things most visitors come for: settling into town, one full day of Tour A island hopping for Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon, and one day for either shipwreck diving or a second island-hopping tour, depending on whether you dive.

What shouldn't I skip in 3 days in Coron?

Tour A, it covers Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon, Coron's two signature stops, see Coron island hopping for what's included and what it costs.

Should I spend day 3 diving or on a second island-hopping tour?

Diving if you're certified, Coron's WWII shipwrecks are a genuinely different experience from the snorkelling tour. If you're not certified, a second group tour (Tour B or Tour C routes, covering different lakes and beaches) is the usual alternative, ask your tour desk what's running that day.

Where should I base myself for this itinerary?

Coron town if you want tour pickups and restaurants within walking distance, see where to stay in Coron for how town compares to an offshore resort.
